Day 78. Perth

Having fun with science...

Everyone slept in this morning,. We enjoyed a cool night in Perth that was very relaxing, as this is something this side of Australia rarely experiences anymore.

We decided to give Bec a day off relaxing back here at Geoff's place; while Geoff, Lachlan, Scarlett and myself went of having some fun and adventure. At first, we wanted to go and play Putt Putt Golf, but after a short drive we discovered that it was closed on Mondays! Bugger! Back to the drawing board...

Shooting hoops with electro-magnetism!
After a wee bit of researching, we decided that we would hit Perth's 'Sci-Tech'. This place turned out to be a goldmine! Scarlett and Lachlan loved it, as must all kids who visit! This place was absolutely packed with them (kids that is). There was so much to see and do that we spent a good 3 hours exploring and interacting with all the exhibits and games. I can't believe that 'learning' can actually be fun! Not just for the small kids, but for the big kids too.

What the?
Waiting for the show to start!
We then moved next door to the 'Horizon Planetarium', as this was included in the entry price to 'Sci-Tech'. Like all planetarium's, this place is all about learning about space and our universe - and we weren't disappointed. We watched a great little feature about travelling across the Universe, and both Scarlett and Lachlan were amazed with the visual feast that this place has to offer.

Unfortunately, somewhere between Jupiter and Uranus, Geoff fell asleep and started snoring; it was very very embarrassing.

We finished the day out doing some minor shopping before returning to the house where we found Bec busily working on the computer; (and not resting like she was suppose to be doing).

It really was a good day! :-)
