Day 286. Hervey Bay

The Water Light Show

Today was all about packing for tomorrow's move over to Fraser Island. Finally I'm back with my beloved ALDI, and I was able to do a good sized shop for the next week under $150, where usually at Coles it costs me a good $200. Shane took care of filling the Jerry can and the car with Diesel, and a trip to the Bottle-O for some last minute supplies.

Officially my new favourite photo
We washed everything today; sheets, towels, and all the clothes we could find ready. That way when we get back to the mainland on Friday, it's full steam ahead and south oito Brisbane. Brisbane will be quite hectic, as we have a lot of friends to catch up with, and we also have to fit in a removal. Well, with what personal effects and the odd item that we were able to save from the floods, it shouldn't take that long, but it is scattered all over Brisbane! Poor Shane will have to go to work for a week, but I'm sure Scarlett and I will be kept quite busy socialising.

This evening we took Scarlett back down to the water park, as on Saturday nights they do a light show there. We were quite early so a lovely evening stroll along the beach as the sun went down was enjoyed by everyone to make up time. The light show was great. They played some great music while the water spouted out in time, and had different coloured lights shining through the mist. Scarlett and I even enjoyed a great dance together when 'Waterloo' by ABBA, one of her favourite songs, came on.

Today was another relative slow and boring day, but with the packing and organising, oh and I forgot to mention the couple more hours craft, we were kept busy.
